Share your ideas for the next version of the Climate Action Framework
In 2022, Minnesota released the Climate Action Framework — a vision for how our state will address and prepare for climate change. Over the last two years, Minnesota has made significant progress on climate action. Billions of dollars in state and federal funding have advanced dozens of programs to cut climate pollution and prepare our state for a warmer, wetter Minnesota.
Minnesota is updating our Climate Action Framework in 2025 to include a more comprehensive set of actions with a stronger focus on collaboration, community benefits, and workforce needs. Though we have made progress, we must accelerate the pace and scale of our climate actions to achieve our long-term vision of a carbon-neutral, resilient, and equitable future.
Minnesota has released an outline of ideas and actions we’d like to include in the 2025 Climate Action Framework and is seeking comments from the public on this outline now through January 28, 2025.
State leaders hosted a webinar on December 18, 2024 to review the outline and process for updating the framework over the next year. Click here to watch the webinar and check out our Engagement HQ page for more details on the framework update process.
Our Minnesota Climate aims to build greater awareness of the current challenges we face from climate change, communicate how your state government is responding, and inspire more Minnesotans to take action.
