Donations have recently declined by nearly 20%, putting the community’s blood supply even more at risk at an already vulnerable time. Due to lower donor turnout, holidays, and school breaks, Memorial Blood Centers is facing a severe shortage of O negative red cells and platelets, but all types are needed. We are asking our community to respond during this blood emergency so that we can meet the needs of patients in the hospitals we serve. Please, make your appointment ASAP.
