November Membership Luncheon – The Shakopee Riverfront Cultural Trail
Please join us for our November Luncheon, featuring Heather Hoagland, Executive Director of the Scott County Historical Society. Find out how the history, heritage, and culture of our hometown is being brought to the riverfront in downtown Shakopee! The Scott County Cultural Consortium, a partnership between the City of Shakopee, Scott County, the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, Scott County Historical Society, and Three Rivers Park District, recently launched a new project to create an engaging and immersive experience that brings to life the fascinating history and heritage of this region. The Shakopee Riverfront Cultural Trail – from the Holmes Street pedestrian bridge on the west side of the city, through The Landing on the east side – will span nearly three miles, thousands of years of history, and important cultural and historical landmarks. Learn about the vision SCCC has for this project, what the next steps are to bring us closer to bringing that vision to life, and how you can make sure your voice is heard as we develop this exciting trail!
Food will be provided by Mr. Pig Stuff.
Our Membership Luncheons are networking events created to bring Shakopee businesses together for an opportunity to learn more about our local businesses, gain knowledge through education, and share business challenges and opportunities with each other. Be sure to bring your 60-second “creative” commercial detailing your business, an upcoming special event, or a product offering you have. Also, make sure you bring plenty of business cards for networking!
