Shakopee Chamber and Visitors Bureau Names Tim Zunker as Interim President
The Shakopee Chamber and Visitors Bureau has announced Tim Zunker will assume the role of Interim President beginning January 18, 2021.
Zunker has been with the Shakopee Chamber and Visitors Bureau since 2014, serving as the Vice President of Marketing since April of 2018. He will replace Angie Whitcomb who is leaving to work for the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce as Executive Vice President. Zunker currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus, is the organization representative on the Metro Marketing Tourism Group, the organization representative for the Minnesota Sports Group, and is the organization representative on the Scott County CDA Live, Learn, Earn initiative.
“I am excited for the opportunity to continue to work as an advocate for Shakopee. We will continue our efforts as a Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau to be the voice for the business community and will work with our members and partners to continue being a supporter for public policy, member relations, economic development, and promotion. I also look forward to continuing to promote Shakopee as a premier travel destination in the Midwest. As we come out of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is now more important than ever to work collaboratively with our members and partners to make sure Shakopee’s voice is heard.”

“We are going to miss Angie greatly. She was such a vital piece of our community over the last 10+ years and set the groundwork for any success we had as a Chamber. But she had an amazing opportunity in front of her and we wish her well in her future endeavors.
With that being said, we believe Tim is the perfect fit for the Interim President. He’s worked so closely with Angie and has been a huge asset to the Chamber with the Chamber & Visitors Bureau. We look forward to moving forward with the help of Tim’s leadership.”
