Prior Lake, MN — South Metro Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the appointment of Kent Engler as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective December 2, 2024.
Kent brings over 20 years of leadership experience in the financial services industry, with expertise in credit unions and community banking. He has a strong track record of driving growth, enhancing member satisfaction, and improving operational efficiency through strategic initiatives and team development. A dedicated advocate for community engagement, Kent has partnered with organizations to promote financial literacy and support underserved communities.
Beyond his professional achievements, Kent is a dedicated family man who enjoys coaching youth sports, exploring Minnesota’s natural beauty, and cheering for the home teams. His passion for empowering teams, delivering growth, and enhancing member experiences is central to his leadership philosophy.
Kent shared his enthusiasm for the role, stating:
